Presented is a 1988 University of Notre Dame "Fighting Irish" National Championship plaque from the collection of their coach, Lou Holtz. The brown wood plaque features an 8 x 10-inch color team photograph of the 1988 Notre Dame football squad mounted across the top center. Below the photo, is mounted a gold metal plate engraved in black with the legend "University of Notre Dame "Fighting Irish" 1988 National Champions Head Coach: Lou Hotlz". Below the headline is the Notre Dame logo, the interlocking "ND", in navy at the left, with a "Fighting Irish" leprechaun character cartoon in white and green at the right. The 1988 schedule and results is printed in black between the two images. This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz, and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
