Offered is a 1992 State of Michigan Special Tribute to Lou Holtz for receiving 1992 National Scholar/Athlete Award. The white paper certificate is printed in blue and black, with the seal of "The State of Michigan" across the top, and the headline "Certificate of Special Tribute" below. The certificate continues, "Governor John Engler issues this Special Tribute honoring Lou Holtz...do hereby confer special tribute upon Lou Holtz for receiving Detroit Country Day's 1992 National Scholar/Athlete Award". The tribute is dated January 3, 1992 and signed by Governor Engler in black pen in the lower right. At the lower left is the embossed gold paper seal of Gov. Engler. The document is mounted in a Columbia blue matte and displayed in a 14 1/2 x 17-inch white with gold and black accent wood with glass frame. This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz, and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
