Presented is a 1972 West Virginia vs. North Carolina State University Peach Bowl plaque presented to Wolfpack Football head coach Lou Holtz. The brown wood plaque features a colorful cartoon image applique of the Mountaineer fighting a wolf over a Peach Bowl peach, in yellow, red, blue, white and black. Below the cartoon is the caption "W. VIRGINIA N.C. STATE" in red, black, white, yellow and blue letters. Below that caption is a gold metal plaque engraved in white with the legend "Coach Lou Holtz". Holtz guided the Wolfpack to a 49-13 upset over West Virginia in the 1972 Peach Bowl, played at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium in Georgia on December 29, 1972. This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz, and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
