Offered is Lou Holtz's 1972 Atlantic Coast Conference Coach of the Year award presented by the Atlantic Coast Sports Writers Association. The brown wood plaque features a silver metal plate engraved in black with the caption "FOOTBALL COACH OF THE YEAR Atlantic Coast Conference 1972" across the top. Below the caption is a black and white, head and shoulder photograph of Holtz in dark suit jacket, black and white striped tie and white shirt. Below the photo is the caption "LOU HOLTZ North Carolina State University Awarded by Atlantic Coast Sports Writers Association". Please note that the back of the plaque has small scratches and a remnant of tape from prior mounting. This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz, and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
