Offered is a 1984 congratulatory trophy presented by the Rotary Clubs to coach Lou Holtz. The gold metal, gold plastic, and brown wood trophy incorporates a gold figure of a quarterback throwing a football at the top, and two gold eagle figures on the base. The gold metal plaque on the lower center of the base is engraved with the caption "To Coach Holtz Rotary Congratulates You Unscored On Undefeated Record U of M 4-13-84". Please note that this was a "Gag" gift, as Holtz had just accepted the head coaching job at the University of Minnesota in the spring of 1984, and had yet to coach the team in competition at this point. This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz, and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
