Offered is a Lou Holtz University of South Carolina Gamecocks pendant. The 10K gold pendant features 16 white jewels and one red jewel on the front arrayed in the shape of a football. On the top center of the football is a gold "USC" logo. The carved legend "Carolina Gamecocks" is in gold on black on the top and bottom of the pendant's front, and the year "2001" appears with each of the four numbers in a corner of the pendant, clockwise from top left. The back of the pendant is blank except for the engraved "C Jostens 10K" in the lower center. There are two open grommets at the top of the pendant for a chain necklace. Holtz, in his third season with South Carolina in 2001, led the Gamecocks to a 9–3 record and another Outback Bowl victory over Ohio State. The nine wins for the season were the second highest total in the history of the program. This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz, and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
