Presented is an oversized 1978 College Football Hall of Fame dedication ring from the collection of coach Lou Holtz. The gold metal ring features the engraved caption "College Football Hall of Fame National Football Foundation" at the center with a stylized carving of a kicker. This portion of the ring isdetailed in Columbia blue enamel. On the underside of the ring is engraved the caption "Dedication, August 3, 1978" in black. On one side of the ring is engraved the "NCAA" logo above the "Chevrolet" logo set within a laurel wreath. The opposite side is engraved with the "Chevrolet Scholarship Program" also in black, set within a laurel wreath. This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz, and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
