Offered is a 1978 Lou Holtz Fiesta Bowl digital wristwatch. The stainless steel Quartzmatic watch features a digital screen with the days of the week displayed in red and black letters, set within a white dial face with the Quartzmatic logo printed in black at the top center, and the Fiesta Bowl 1978 logo printed in black, orange and yellow at the bottom center. The watchface is slightly discolored from age and storage, while the steel cases is slightly tarnished. The metal bracelet is also slightly tarnished but intact. The reverse side of the watchface is engraved with the "Westclox" maker's mark as well as particulars including "Stainless Steel Case". The underside of the bracelet clasp is engraved "100% Stainless Steel Hong Kong" while the front of the clasp is engraved with the "Quartzmatic" logo. The 1978 Fiesta Bowl was played at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona on Monday, December 25. Part of the 1978–79 bowl game season, it matched the eighth-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks (coached by Holtz) of the Southwest Conference and the #15 UCLA Bruins from the Pacific-10 Conference, and ended in a 10–10 tie before 55,227 spectators.This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz, and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
