Offered is a 1980 Lou Holtz Sugar Bowl wristwatch. The Navy blue watch face features the Sugar Bowl logo in silver at the "12 o'clock" position, the caption "Alabama" at the "9 o'clock" position and the caption "Arkansas" at the "3 o'clock" position in silver. At the "6 o'clock" position is the caption "1980", also in silver. The watch has silver metal hour and minute hands and a Sugar Bowl trophy second hand, also in silver. The Navy blue alligator leather wristband is intact but shows some signs of minor wear. The back of the watch is engraved with the details "Stainless Steel Back Base Metal Bezel Automatic 1318". The 1980 Sugar Bowl was played at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Tuesday, January 1. Part of the 1979–80 bowl game season, it matched the undefeated and second-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide of the Southeastern Conference and the #6 Arkansas Razorbacks of the Southwest Conference, coached by Holtz. Favored Alabama won 24–9. This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz, and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
