Offered is a 1970 Lou Holtz Tangerine Bowl participant trophy. The silver metal and brown wood trophy includes a small silver football mounted on a kicking tee at the top of the trophy, flanked by two football running backs, one on each side of the pedestal supporting the football. An orange metal plaque features the legend, engraved in white, "Tangerine Bowl Football Game Participant December 28, 1970 Toledo vs William & Mary Presented by Sentinel Star Company Orlando Florida". Holtz coached his Southern Conference Champion William & Mary squad into the 1970 Tangerine Bowl, where they lost to Toledo, 40-12. This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz, and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
