Offered is a 1990 "The Golden Plate" award presented to coach Lou Holtz, in a framed display. The Golden Plate, presented by the American Academy of Achievement, is mounted at the top center of a black matte, and is a gold and white porcelain plate. The logo of the American Academy of Achievement is glazed into the top center in black and gold, along with an eagle inside a shield, and the caption "Lou Holtz". Mounted below the plate, at the lower center, is a gold metal plaque engraved in black with the legend ""The Golden Plate" Awarded to America's Captains of Achievement "Representing the Many who Excel" in the Great Fields of Endeavor Twenty-Ninth Annual Banquet of the Golden Plate June 30, 1990 Chicago, Illinois". The plate and plaque are displayed in a black and gold wood with glass frame. This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz, and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
