Offered is a 2008 Lou Holtz commemorative coin collage with coins used for the coin toss before the Michigan at Notre Dame game in a framed display. The display includes a ticket from the September 13, 2008 Michigan at Notre Dame football game played at Notre Dame Stadium, featuring a color head & shoulder photograph of Holtz and the caption "Lou Holtz National Championship Coaches", mounted in the top left of a Navy blue matte with gold and white accents. At the top right is mounted an 8 x 10-inch color photograph of Holtz on the field, at left, with the game official at right, from the pre-game coin toss ceremony. Mounted in the bottom center is a bronze commemorative coin used in the coin toss. Engraved on one side are the likenesses of Holtz, Knute Rockne, Ara Parseghian, Dan Devine and Frank Leahy, with the legend engraved on the edge of the coin "University of Notre Dame Football National Championship Coaches". On the reverse side is an engraved image of Notre Dame's "Golden Dome" at the center, with the coaches names and years coached engraved on the edge of the coin. Mounted at the lower center of the display is a gold metal plaque engraved in black with the legend "Lou Holtz Notre Dame vs. Michigan September 13, 2008". The display is in a 13 x 16 1/2-inch brown wood with glass frame. This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz, and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
