Offered is Lou Holtz's personally owned "Shake Down the Thunder" necktie. The Navy blue neck tie is hand painted with the interlocking "ND" logo in gold at the center, above the painted image of Notre Dame's campus landmark "Golden Dome" viewed through trees in fall foliage, with a Fighting Irish football player running from right to left, and the legend "Shake Down the Thunder" in gold. The legend "Lou" is painted in gold at the bottom of the tie. On the reverse is painted "Designed for Lou Holtz by Tom (illegible) C 1989 Handpainted Do Not Dryclean". This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz, and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
