Presented is a 2008 Lou Holtz Notre Dame award for his induction into the College Football Hall of Fame. The award features a large silver and blue "ND" logo on a Navy blue background set at the top center, above a gold metal plaque engraved in black with the legend "Lou Holtz in Recognition of his 2008 Induction into the College Football Hall of Fame from the University of Notre Dame Department of Athletics December 9, 2008". The "ND" logo and plaque are mounted in a white matte with blue and gold accents including the caption "University of Notre Dame" in blue at the top center, and displayed in a brown wood with glass frame. Holtz, who coached the 1988 Irish national championship team and won 100 games in 11 seasons as Irish head coach, was enshrined in the National Football Foundation’s College Football Hall of Fame in South Bend, Indiana in the summer of 2008. This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz, and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
