Presented is a Lou Holtz 1988 Cotton Bowl Classic plaque. The engraved brown wood plaque features the Cotton Bowl Classic carved in the upper left corner with white painted highlights, above the carved image of the Cotton Bowl stadium in Dallas, Texas. Across the bottom of the plaque is the legend "JANUARY 1, 1988 - DALLAS". At the right side of the plaque is a 5 x 7-inch color head & shoulder photograph of Holtz in a white short-sleeve Notre Dame polo shirt. Notre Dame lost to Texas A&M, 35-10, in the 52nd Cotton Bowl Classic. Please note that there are two stains on the back side of the plaque from tape used in prior mounting. This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz, and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
