Hall of Famer Kirby Puckett was one of the most energetic and popular players in the Major Leagues, helping the Minnesota Twins to two World Series titles, and forging many highlight-reel plays in the process. Puckett had an incredible year in 1992, his ninth season in the Major Leagues, putting up a Triple Crown slash line of .329/19/110 with 17 steals and 38 doubles. Puckett led the American League in hits (210) and total bases (313) while finishing second in the American League MVP race. He was recognized with an All-Star nod in July and both a Gold Glove and Silver Slugger at the end of the season. Presented here is a Louisville Slugger P339 model bat used by Puckett during the 1992 season. This bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, blue ink transfers and slight checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact present on the barrel. Puckett’s number “34” is handwritten in black marker on the knob and the late Hall of Famer signed his name in what is now slightly faded black marker on the barrel and inscribed “#34” below. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B26010) for the game use and has been given the highest possible grade of GU 10, plus a LOA from Beckett Authentication (AB09431) for the signature.
