Presented in this lot are four items: three baseball bats signed by Mike Trout and Hall of Famers Tony Gwynn and Ted Williams, and one baseball signed by Mike Trout. The first item in this presented lot is an Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball signed by Mike Trout. Trout, easily the best player of his generation, signed and inscribed "2012 ROY" with a blue ballpoint pen on the sweet spot of this offered Rawlings baseball. The signature and inscription are bold, and the baseball displays elements of spotty toning. The item comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ007183) for the signature.
Offered in this lot is an Old Hickory 33.5 Pro Maple MT27P bat signed by Mike Trout. Trout, who earned AL Rookie of the Year honors in 2012, is a nine-time All-Star and three-time AL MVP who is considered the consensus-best of his generation. Trout signed and inscribed "2012 AL ROY" on the barrel of this two-toned bat with a silver metallic paint pen. The signature is bold, and the bat displays light scratches on the barrel. The bat comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (EK887849) for the signature.
Offered in this lot is a Hillerich & Bradsby Louisville Slugger bat signed by Hall of Famer Ted Williams. Williams, a six-time batting champ and the most recent ballplayer to hit over .400 played from 1938 to 1960 for the Boston Red Sox. Williams won two American League MVP awards and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame on his first ballot, garnering over 93% of the vote. Williams signed the barrel of the bat with a blue marker. The signature is bold, and the item comes with a STICKER ONLY from PSA/DNA (S00764) for the signature.
The last item in this lot is a Glomar Pro-Model G-TG267 bat signed by Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn. Gwynn was a preternaturally skilled hitter who claimed eight National League batting titles en route to membership in the vaunted 3,000 hit club. In 1994, Gwynn put together one of the most credible runs at a .400 batting average since Ted Williams hit the mark in 1941. 110 games into the season, Gwynn was hitting for a mind-bending .394 average before a player's strike wiped out the remainder of the campaign. Undeterred by the unfortunate circumstances, Gwynn proceeded to win the next three National League batting crowns. Gwynn retired in 2001 and was honored with induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007. Gwynn signed the barrel of the two-toned bat with a silver metallic paint pen. The signature is bold and clear, and the bat displays very faint scratches on the black barrel. The bat comes with a STICKER ONLY from PSA/DNA (W70003) for the signature.
