Atlanta Braves star Lonnie Smith wore this gray Braves’ road jersey during the 1991 MLB season. The leftfielder hit .275 with seven homers and 44 RBI for the National League pennant winners in 1991 and crushed three longballs in Atlanta’s narrow seven-game defeat to the Minnesota Twins in that season’s World Series. This button-down gray jersey features “Atlanta” sewn across the chest in red and navy tackle twill over a large tomahawk logo patch. “L. Smith” is sewn across the back shoulders in navy tackle twill over a matching gray nameplate. A “JWM” memorial patch for executive and former GM John Mullen is sewn on the left sleeve in navy tackle twill. A Wilson tag with an attached size flag and a “91” year tag are sewn on the front left tail. The jersey has been photo matched to the 1991 MLB season by Elite Sports, who have provided a LOA.
