If it were possible to choose the “coolest” athlete in American sports history, Julius Erving would likely be the average NBA fan’s first choice. From his days as a high-flying, big hair superstar in the ABA to his years as an unstoppable scorer for the Philadelphia 76ers of the NBA, “Dr. J” brought an indelible panache to every action on the basketball court. An All-Star in each of his 16 professional seasons, Erving was an NBA champion in 1983 and averaged over 24 points per game. The Doctor signed his name “Julius Dr J Erving” across the sweet spot of this Official American League Bobby Brown stamped baseball. Beneath his signature is the inscription “1-11-92”. This ball displays minimal toning, presenting as a cream-colored orb and comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication.
