Graded 70 EX+ 5.5 ("EX+ 5.5" equivalent) by SGC. Hall of Famer, in his debut-year gum card appearance. This cherished Rookie Card Clemente collectible was included in the difficult "high number" segment of the 1955 Topps issue. All of the familiar elements of this popular card are nicely resolved in the offered example, with rich, smooth color and lightly circulated corners and edges being particularly noteworthy assets. The obverse concedes small faults in the inking, most prominently in the form of a vertical streak-line in the bottom margin. One of the hobby's favorite gum cards, in sharp Excellent-plus condition.
