Graded NM-MT 8 by BVG. Hall of Famers. Also known as "Spalding’s Champions," cards from the production that yielded this Ruthian showpiece were given to customers with purchases of various sporting goods. Of the more than 200 subjects encompassed by the full set, forty-nine are baseball players, including the most desirable of them all, Babe Ruth. The small items are distinguished by crisp, black-and-white images set within vintage-style artistic frames. The cards were issued in glassine envelopes with coupons, which were redeemable for Spalding Sporting Goods. This example features a boldly printed stat/bio reverse, and boasts terrific eye appeal. The card's enviable BVG condition report: Centering: 8, Corners: 7.5, Edges: 8.5, Surface: 8. Near Mint to Mint condition.
