Former Major Leaguer Adrian Beltre, a member of the vaunted 3,000 Hit Club, made the American League All-Star team in 2012 with the Texas Rangers. He finished the year with a .321 batting average, 32 homers, 106 RBI, and a third-place finish in the American League MVP race. Presented here is one of the bats used by Beltre during the 2012 season. Beltre’s Marucci AB29 model bat displays outstanding game use with a crack on the handle that has been repaired. There are ball marks, blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs present on the barrel, along with an impression of a weighed donut. The handle has a moderate coating of pine tar and there is a mark on the handle that identifies the grain, which has been mandatory per Major League Baseball for all maple bats since 2009. Beltre’s number “29” is stamped on the knob in white, along with the bat’s manufacture date “03/16/12”, length “4” and weight “2”. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B25774) for the game use and has been given a very high grade of GU 9.
