Presented is a framed display of a photograph of legendary college football coach Lou Holtz with another legend, University of Michigan head coach Bo Schembechler, signed and inscribed to Holtz by Schembechler. In the color photo, Holtz, dressed in Notre Dame gear, is at the left and Schembechler, in Michigan gear, is at the right. Both are on the sidelines of a Notre Dame vs. Michigan game, in a heavy downpour. At the right side of the photo, Schembechler has inscribed "To Lou Holtz A Great Coach + A Good Friend Best Wishes Always! Bo Schembechler" in gold marker. Below Schembechler's signature is a second signature, also in gold marker, "Dan Stacy". The signed and inscribed photo is mounted in a Navy blue matte with yellow accent. In the lower center of the matte are four stickers, from left to right: "ND" in gold and Navy blue on white; the University of Notre Dame seal in blue, white and gold; "Michigan" over "M" in Navy blue and yellow on white; and the University of Michigan seal in Navy blue and yellow on white. The matted photo is displayed in an 18 x 15-inch white wood with yellow and blue accents frame with glass. The white backing paper is inscribed at the upper left in black marker "To Lou Holtz This game was one of many "magic moments" that you brought to Notre Dame fans everywhere. You're the best! Ken DeMatteo". At the upper center is inscribed "373" in black marker. At the lower center is a mounted, with clear tape, DeMatteo's business card from Sports Travel International printed in black, blue and red on white cardstock. After losing 24-23 to the Wolverines in his Notre Dame debut, Holtz and the Fighting Irish defeated Michigan four straight seasons - from 1987-90 - including three against Michigan's own legendary coach,Glenn Edward "Bo" Schembechler. This item comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
