The role-playing game introduced 100 new species to the "Pokemon" canon of pocket monsters and is the companion to the "Pokemon Silver Version" released on the same day. The game features a "Made in Japan" stamp on the top of the box, an "E" rating stamp from the ESRB, and a "Y-Fold" box with a "USA Code." The game comes encapsulated and graded by WATA Games, which gave the game a Seal Rating of A+ and an overall box rating of 9.0.
