Released to almost universal critical acclaim on November 21, 1998, "Ocarina of Time" is the fifth game in "The Legend of Zelda" series and the first with 3D graphics. Once again, the player is tasked with navigating Link through the mystical land of Hyrule on a quest to stop the evil Ganondorf by traveling through time and navigating dungeons and a vast overworld. The game is known for introducing a target lock system and context-sensitive buttons that have since become common in 3D adventure games. The player must learn to play numerous songs on the ocarina to progress within the game. The highly influential and universally acclaimed game is considered one, if not the greatest, video game of all time and sold more than seven million copies worldwide.
