Graded VG 3 by PSA, one of just twenty-five examples validated across all levels by that company. English Football Hall of Famer. This desirable and seldom-seen paper antique honors William "Billy" Meredith (1874-1958), an always acclaimed and sometimes notorious superstar of his sport from the 1890s to the 1920s. This sharp-looking commemorative (primarily faulted in technical terms by small product stains and tiny surface discrepancies on the reverse) hails from a tough-to-find series that was distributed in the United Kingdom. Very Good condition, with eye appeal (and topical importance) well in excess of that modest assessment.
