Offered here is a pair of size 10 ½ game used cleats worn by Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. during the 1993 season and come directly from his personal collection. Ripken Jr. posted an average of .257 with 165 hits, 87 runs scored, 24 home runs, and 90 RBIs during a season that saw Ripken Jr. earn the 11th All-Star and 6th Silver Slugger Award of his storied career. These presented black high-top cleats feature the iconic Nike “Swoosh” logo in orange on the instep and outstep. “NIKE” is embossed on the outer heel of each cleat. An orange Velcro ankle strap is attached to the upper of each cleat. “NIKE AIR” appears in white on the back heel. Six metal cleats are attached to hard plastic soles that feature “NIKE” with the Nike “Swoosh” on the center in black in the center of the sole and “NIKE” in white on the heel. The cleats display excellent game use and contain dirt attached to the soles and cleats, dirt stains on the mudguard, and wear and dirt stains throughout each cleat. The game used cleats come with a signed LOA from Cal Ripken, Jr. for the game use and a LOA from J.T. Sports with corresponding holograms (1403 - right, 1404 - left) on each cleat.
