This all-black helmet was worn by baseball’s Ironman and Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Jr. during the latter part of his storied career. This helmet was manufactured by American Baseball Cap Co. and is a size 7 3/8. The front has the Orioles oriole bird logo sticker affixed and the left ear has a flap. Part of the back of the helmet has been broken off with Ripken’s number “8” sticker in orange and the ABC logo on one of the pieces that would have been on the back. There is also a large crack on the upper back left leading into wear there is a gap from the missing pieces. The inside padding is still intact and also on the inside are the size 7 3/8, a faded Diamond Collection sticker and a Warning sticker. This comes directly from the personal collection of Cal Ripken, Jr. and a LOA from Cal will accompany this helmet.
