Cal Ripken, Jr. represented the Baltimore Orioles at the 1998 All-Star Game held at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado. Starting for the American League at 3rd base, Cal went 1-for-4 in the game, his one hit coming in the 4th off Tom Glavine, a run-scoring double to right. Coming directly from the personal collection of Cal Ripken, Jr., this offered American League Majestic button-down jersey was worn by Cal for workouts during the 1998 All-Star festivities. This size 48 jersey is dark green with “AMERICAN” sewn on across the front in white and purple tackle twill with an image of the Rocky Mountains serving as the second “A”. Purple piping runs around the collar and down both sides of the buttons. The back has “RIPKEN” and “8” sewn on in white and purple tackle twill with the right sleeve having the 1998 All-Star Game logo patch and the left sleeve having the Baltimore Orioles logo patch. This jersey shows light use and comes with a signed LOA from Cal Ripken, Jr. stating this comes directly from his personal collection.
