Winter Auction 2015 closing February 7

Hall of Famer Dave Winfield had already compiled his Cooperstown credentials by the time he signed as a free-agent with the Cleveland Indians for his 22nd and final big league season in 1995. Although Winfield’s swan-song season lasted only 46 games he did hit the final two of his 465 career home runs with the Tribe and apparently got a few good knocks with this un-cracked 35.5-inch, 33.4-ounce Rawlings model DW20 black/natural finish two-tone bat.
Whether it took place in batting practice or game situations, this “Big Stick” shows plenty of good pounding with repeated blue ink transfers, white scuff marks and grain swelling consistently marking the same area on the left of the barrel just above Winfield’s name and Indians white block lettering. Cleat marks are also visible on the left barrel and there is a heavy coat of pine tar on the handle. Model number (DW20), order number (087) and year (95) are stamped into the knob with “33” ounce weight and “Winfield” also written on the knob in blue ink as well as “WIN” in a thicker blue marker. Bat comes with PSA/DNA LOA certification #1B091983.
