The ""Bad"" tour was the first solo concert tour by Michael Jackson and was in support of the 1987 release of the album ""Bad."" The tour lasted 16 months and included 123 concerts for over four million fans. The tour was the second-highest-grossing tour of the 1980s and grossed $150 million. The tour kicked off on September 12, 1987, and concluded on January 27, 1989. Fans highly anticipated both the album and the tour. The album was the follow-up to the critically acclaimed "Thriller" album that marked Jackson'sJackson's ascent to pop royalty.

Offered here is a custom stage-worn fedora worn by Michael Jackson during the “Bad” tour. Though we cannot be certain, the hat is similar to the style worn by The King of Pop in the iconic "Smooth Criminal" video. The hat features a black hatband. The inside features a black sweatband and a gold tag labeled "Medium WPL 5923 100% WOOL Made in U.S.A." on the inside brim. "MICHAEL JACKSON" is labeled in gold on the inside sweatband. The hat displays stains on the inside brim and evidence of stage use. The stage-worn fedora worn by Michael Jackson comes with an LOA from Michael Jackson Productions for stage use and was dated November 15, 1989.
