Presented is a 252-card complete set of 1952 Bowman baseball cards. The brightly colored, small-sized cards of the 1952 Bowman issue have often been unfairly overshadowed by their large-sized Topps counterparts. During this set's production, however, Bowman still ruled the baseball card world, and it took several decades of secondary collector interest to bring about a shift in attention. In the 1952 Bowman series, contractual difficulties with Ted Williams thwarted his inclusion, but Stan Musial returned after a three-year hiatus. All of the day's other significant stars are present, including the second-year Bowman cards of Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays. Highlights include: #'s 1 Berra, 4 Roberts, 8 Reese, 21 Fox, 43 Feller, 44 Campanella, 101 Mantle, 115 Doby, 116 Snider, 156 Spahn, 196 Musial, 217 Stengel, 218 Mays, 232 Slaughter and 252 Crosetti. Mostly GD/VG to VG/EX or finer (some lesser).
