Graded 88 NM/MT 8 ("NM-MT 8" equivalent) by SGC. Hall of Famer, seen here in a Rookie Card appearance. This entry hails from the 1952 Topps issue's much scarcer "High Number" series. The card commemorates the debut of Wilhelm, who became highly regarded for putting together a 21-year major league career as a successful knuckleballer. (Due to honorable military service during World War II, Wilhelm didn't start in the big leagues until he was 29 years old.) Essentially uncirculated Near Mint to Mint condition.
