A near set, containing 333 of the 1956 Topps Baseball issue's 340 subjects, is presented. Each of these collectibles has had the tips of all four corners removed. Thus, although these cherished rectangles are now, instead, octagonal, their inherent charisma is surprisingly undiminished. The revered legends and familiar mainstays populating the issue – including Mantle, Aaron, Koufax, Robinson, Banks, Clemente and Mays – remain delightful to view. Missing #'s 131, 173, 176, 219, 230, 246 and 278 for completion. Poor condition.
