Offered here is a sealed and graded copy of “Syphon Filter 3” developed by Bend Studios and published by Sony for release on the Sony PlayStation on November 6, 2001. The stealth third-person shooter is the third installment in the “Syphon Filter” franchise was originally going to be released in early September but was pushed back due to the devastating terrorist attacks of 9/11. The post-9/11 Anthrax scare caused Sony to change the cover that featured the United States flag amidst a swirl of gas and was deemed too sensitive for a public still reeling from the worst terrorist attacks on U.S. soil. This presented promotional copy features a “UPC Punched,” a “Made in USA” label, and an “M” rating label on the cover of this copy that contains the original artwork. Copies bearing the original artwork were released before the artwork could be changed, making this copy more desirable by collectors. A sealed copy of “Syphon Filter 3” comes with an excellent seal rating of A++ and an overall grade of 9.6.
