Developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy system, Pokémon Blue was one of the first of the primary paired Pokémon games for the United States (the other being Pokémon Red), bringing the cultural phenomenon from Japan to the world. Made in Japan with an E Rating in a Y-Fold box made of 83% recycled fiber, the game features Blastoise on the cover with a Rattata screenshot (USA Code) on the back. Along with Pokémon Red, Blue is the best-selling non-bundled Game Boy game.
