Encapsulated and graded 2.5 with “Off-White to White Pages” by CBCS. This vintage comic book series, which ran from 1959 to 1968, started as a science-fiction anthology that showcased various artists. This issue, in particular, has quite the tale to tell. It’s the first appearance and origin of Iron Man, Tony Stark – who looks quite old school on the cover in his gray iron outfit. Stark would get quite the makeover through the years, and thanks to the acting of Robert Downey Jr. and several Iron Man and Avengers movies later would become one of the most beloved Marvel characters. This issue was published on March 1, 1963, with Stan Lee and Larry Lieber writing the story and Jack Kirby among several that did the art. Copy graded 2.5 with “Off-White to White Pages” by CBCS.
