An inventor father is looking for a unique gift for his son, Billy. He stumbles upon a store in Chinatown with just the thing he's looking for, a Mogwai. The shopkeeper is reluctant to sell this unique pet but eventually relents with some conditions: never expose it to bright light, water, or feed it after midnight. Billy receives the Mogwai and names him Gizmo. Shortly after that, all three things that shouldn't have happened have, and Gizmo begins to spawn versions of himself. These offspring are nowhere near as nice as Gizmo and begin to cause chaos on Christmas Eve. This presented copy features a "1985 Sleeve," a "Side UPC," and watermarks on the bottom.
