Jackson first rose to prominence as the hero of the Battle of New Orleans, where he successfully defended the city from British attack during the War of 1812. The Check is dated “August 21, 1835” and is for “$507.20” and drawn from his account at the Bank of Metropolis. The Check displays elements of toning and is signed by Jackson in black ink. The signed Check comes encapsulated and graded AUTHENTIC AUTO by BGS.
