It is fair to say that "Blades of Steel," published by Konami and released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in December 1988, is one of the most revolutionary hockey games to ever appear on the NES. With the ability to pick from 8 fictional teams, with four representing Canada and four representing America, the game completely changed ice hockey on the NES. With the ability to fight and fast-action play, the game received critical and commercial acclaim and set the standard for ice hockey games on home consoles.
This presented copy features a "REV-A" label and a round Nintendo "Seal of Quality" and a "USA Code," indicating that this copy was produced between January 1988 and March 1989 and is a first production copy. The copy features a seal rating of A+ and an overall grade of 9.4, sharing that grade with only three other copies, with none graded higher.
