The father of the American National Parks Service, Roosevelt’s contribution to American life was such that his towering visage was carved into the side of Mount Rushmore. Judged by historians as one of the best presidents to serve in the White House, Roosevelt’s legacy is assured even one hundred years after his death. The presented photograph is signed by Roosevelt in black ink, and contains an inscription written to a “Mr. C.H. Sherril.” The inscription is dated October 28, 1904.
