Credited with ending the United States’ involvement in the Vietnam War, but also forever linked to the Watergate scandal, Richard Nixon was clearly one of the more controversial and intriguing Presidents in the history of America. Nixon and his wife Pat signed this 6 ¼x10-inch invitation to the President’s second inauguration on Jan. 20, 1973 in blue ink on the cover. The presidential seal is found at the top of the invitation, along with the message “The honor of your presence is requested at the ceremonies attending the Inauguration of the President and Vice President of the United States January twentieth Nineteen hundred seventy-three.” An 11:30 a.m. timestamp is found in the bottom-right corner of the invitation. The signed document comes with a JSA LOA.
