Apparently the Angels’ Mike Trout had never heard of the “Sophomore Jinx”. After a debut season that won him the AL’s Rookie of the Year Award, Trout tore through the 2013 season, leading the league with 109 runs and, as a nod to the kid’s power at the plate, also recorded the most walks with 110. His 33 stolen bases combined with 27 homers and a .323 average made him the runner up for the AL MVP Award. According to the bat’s markings it was manufactured in 2012 and used by the Angels star during the 2013 season. The Old Hickory J143M shows outstanding game use and is un-cracked. Many ball marks and stitch impressions are visible on the barrel along with blue ink stamp transfers. There are bat rack paint streaks and cleat marks on the bat’s barrel. The lower handle has been taped to enhance the grip and a moderate coat of Mota Stick applied. The future Hall of Famer has signed the barrel in contrasting silver pen. A true gamer from the hardest-working young player in the game today. Letter of Authenticity 1B08231 from PSA/DNA who have graded this great bat GU 9.5.
