On April 8, 1974, Hank Aaron and Al Downing became linked in baseball folklore forever when the hurler served up Hammerin’ Hank’s historic 715th home run, surpassing Babe Ruth as the Home Run King. Each of these Official National League (Coleman) baseballs is signed by both figures, with Aaron’s prominent stroke on the sweet spot, with Downing’s below and the words “715th Home Run 4/8/74” below. The baseballs themselves are from the 1997 season, and bear the logo of the 50th anniversary of Jackie Robinson’s breaking of the color barrier. Both have JSA authentication.
