No pitcher demonstrated such complete post-season dominance than Madison Bumgarner did in 2014. His 26 2/3 scoreless innings pitched broke a 90 year-old record and more importantly gained the San Francisco Giants their third World Championship in 6 years. At the same time he was handcuffing the National League bats, Bumgarner himself batted a lofty .258 with 4 home runs in 2014. In July he and battery mate Buster Posey each hit grand slam home runs against the Diamond Backs, the first time this was done in the history of the game. “Mad Bum’s” Louisville Slugger D200 is un-cracked and exhibits excellent use with many ball marks and stitch impressions on its barrel. There is an imprint from a weighted batting donut and green bat rack paint streaks along the barrel. Cleat impressions are evident and a moderate coat of pine tar is found on the handle. Bumgarner’s number “40” is affixed to the bat’s knob end and the 2014 World Series MVP has signed the barrel in black marker “GU 14”. Letter of Authenticity 1B09186 from PSA/DNA who have given this bat a perfect score of GU 10.
