This program from the 1936 World Series played between the New York Giants and the New York Yankees features a fantastic color cover with a batter swinging away as he is facing a giant, “buffalo nickel,” which was a design based on a bison that had lived at the Central Park Zoo in New York City. Also, presented on the cover is a rendering of the New York City Skyline done in purple, set in front of a orange skyline. Inside the program are black & white head shots of players from both teams with player bio’s attached to them. This World Series marked the first Yankees appearance without Babe Ruth and their first with Joe DiMaggio. The Yankees would go on to defeat the Giants 4 games to 2 to win the 1936 World Series. Note: Both scorecards are filled out inside this program. The overall condition of the program is excellent with slight edge wear.
