Professional American boxer Jack Dempsey was an icon of the 1920s, and fan favorite who rose to become a World Heavyweight champion. As a fighter he was known for his aggressive boxing style showing phenomenal power behind each of his punches. He is also a member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame. This signed letter dated as, “May 27, 1971,” with a letterhead reading, “Jack Dempsey’s Broadway Restaurant and Bar,” speaks of Mr. Dempsey’s wish to have both his Salt Lake City property and his California property transferred over to his wife whom he states, “has been the only one in the family who has been good to me.” Jack Dempsey has hand written and signed this letter using blue ink.
