Hall of Famer Ferguson Jenkins used this home white Boston Red Sox pullover jersey during the 1976 Major League season. This size 48 knit jersey was manufactured by McAuliffe Uniform Corp. of Brockton, Massachusetts and features "RED SOX" sewn on in red and blue tackle twill arched across the chest, along with a "1976" tag on the bottom front. Jenkins' "31" is sewn on in back in red and blue in the classic number style used by the Red Sox and also has a Massachusetts Bicentennial patch sewn on the left sleeve. The V-Neck collar is made of a red/blue ribbed material and the jersey shows moderate use with a minor stain on the right shoulder and a small stain on the right front bottom. This game used jersey can be dated from April 9, 1976 (Opening Day) to July of 1976 as a memorial armband was added to the left sleeve of all Red Sox jerseys after the passing of longtime Red Sox owner Tom Yawkey on July 9, 1976. The armbands were worn until the end of the 1976 season. Jenkins signed and inscribed "GAMER 1976 HOF 7/24/91" in bold blue marker on the front center of the chest below "RED SOX". This jersey comes with a full LOA from Mears, who have rated this jersey a perfect A-10 and a full LOA from PSA/DNA (V13663).
