Nice collection of vintage baseball autographs in this lot dating from the mid 1900s. Signatures are in three separate autograph books and on a few loose cuts of paper. Notable signatures include 1939 NL MVP and Triple Crown winner Bucky Walters, 1959 Cy Young award winner and HOF pitcher Early Wynn, and 1931 AL MVP and HOF pitcher Lefty Grove. Along with right fielder Chuck Klein, the beloved HOFer Mel Ott, left fielder Goose Goslin and HOFer catcher Ernie Lombardi. Also included in this lot is HOF center fielder Larry Doby who in 1947 was the first African American player to break Major League Baseball’s color barrier in the American League, joining Jackie Robinson who started the 1947 season a few months earlier.
