Perhaps no player burst on the big league scene in 2014 with more fanfare than Japanese pitcher Masahiro Tanaka who signed a seven-year $155 million contract with the New York Yankees after the team also paid a $20 million posting fee to Tanaka’s former Rakuten club in Japan. Tanaka paid early dividends winning his first start with a seven-inning, eight strikeout performance against the Toronto Blue Jays at the Rogers Center on April 4, 2014 and recorded his first win at Yankee Stadium 12 days later, striking out 10 batters in eight shutout innings in a 3-0 victory over the Chicago Cubs. After the game Tanaka retired to this MLB Authentic (#HZ 102816) black leather swivel Dreamseat chair which has the Yankees interlocking NY logo and Tanaka’s number 19 embroidered with white stitching in the chair’s seat back. Incredibly comfortable chair is mounted on five heavy duty castor wheels, has a hand operated height adjustment lever under the seat and lean back reclining action; comes with Steiner Sports Memorabilia LOA #209543.
